Recently Jake McLaren, Formway’s in-house expert on the environment, shared his understanding of the role of environmental commitment in a successful business model with Better By Design.

Jake’s background includes an Industrial Design based education and work experience with Nokia. Jake started at Formway in 2006 and has worked hard to cement Formway’s status as a leader in sustainable design and manufacture.

In this article Jake touches on some key areas of change for implementing good environmental practice into any sized business model.

“It's important to encourage people in all parts of the company to look at the opportunities. You've got to talk to individuals in all the departments and understand the issues for them, then define their part in the sustainability process and integrate the various business functions.”
