Green Office wins New Zealand Government Award for sustainability

The Department focused on innovation in environmental urban office design to provide an example of green principles to industry and the community. Formway responded to the design intent of the project architect, Architecture+, using environmental design and life cycle management techniques to deliver sustainable office furniture.

The Department to be as green as possible while implementing the Government’s GOVT3 Sustainable Procurement program. Equally as important was providing surroundings that encourage collaboration and greater staff interaction, building an environment that reflect a change in corporate culture.

The Formway FIT Team developed a convincing design to meet the need for openness and transparency.

Formway manufactured innovative products and demonstrated a strong resolve to pursue the goals of the Department to achieve a green, healthy and open office environment. Formway is continuing to pursue environmental design and life cycle management.
